Tutoring Options
Every tutoring session is planned specifically for that lesson so it is personalised and tailored to meet the needs of each student.
One-to-one
This will be online via Zoom or face-to-face if you live locally. You will receive the same quality of lesson online as you would face-to-face. All you need is a computer, laptop or iPad, and an internet connection. All notes made in the lesson will be sent to you afterwards so you can revisit them whenever you want, and so parents can view the lessons too so they have an idea of what their child is learning.
Group sessions
Group sessions are available with students of similar ability. There would be a maximum of 5 students per group. Many students prefer group sessions as they can feel less daunting, students get more opportunities to participate in discussions, and they can increase confidence, motivation and engagement.
Home-educated Students
If you are home-educated I can provide one-on-one sessions or group sessions any time of day and can plan a schedule that meets your needs, no matter where you are based. Many home-schooled students like the group sessions as it gives them an experience more like being in school and they can form friendships with the other students. What works is a small group of students who are all in the same year who stay together throughout the year and have several lessons a week together with me as we go through the curriculum. I will also set, and mark, homework for home-educated students and provide feedback.
Adults
I offer adult tuition for any adults wishing to gain a qualification in Maths, to improve the grade they currently have or who just want to improve their numeracy skills for their job or to be able to support their child better. I can tailor the topics taught to fit in with your needs. I can offer one-to-one sessions or group sessions, but adult group sessions would only be with other adults for safeguarding reasons.
International students
I offer tuition to any student anywhere in the world, whether you are studying the UK curriculum or that of a different country.
